Río Lagartos & Las Coloradas

On the north coast of Yucatán, the Río Lagartos biosphere reserve is home to thousands of pink flamingos, mangroves and crocodiles, and the small fishing village of Río Lagartos.

Nearby, Las Coloradas is famous for its pink lagoons, colored by the salt works and the tiny organisms that live in the water. These photos were taken from the air over Las Coloradas.
