Cobá

Cobá is a large Mayan city hidden in the jungle between two lagoons, about 45 minutes from Tulum. It was connected to other cities by a network of raised white roads called sacbés.

Its tallest pyramid, Nohoch Mul, rises above the trees. Visitors walk or rent bikes along the jungle paths between the groups of buildings, the ball court and the carved stelae.
