If you are looking for
a great adventure, we invite you to take a four wheeler trip. It will give
you a beautiful view of the mayan jungle and a noisy refreshing ride around
the cenotes in the jungle.
Don't worry if you
don't know how to ride a four wheeler. There are guides who can help you
learn how. They will teach you how to start the vehicle, change gears, use
the brakes and control it on the beach before you take off. They will also
provide you with a helmet for protection and instructions that are necessary
during the trip if anything happens and how to conduct yourself through the
city. There is no reason to lose the opportunity to take this trip.
During the trip you
will see animals in their natural habitat while hundreds of birds pass above
you.
After 3 miles, you will
arrive at a very rustic narrow dirt road. You will love this half mile
stretch of ups and downs with enormous rocks that give character to this
road. At the end you will arrive at the cenote called Seven Mouths (Siete
Bocas).
This is a subterranian
cenote. You can enter by the steps or jump in from one of the entrances of
the natural well. For an unforgettable experience we recommend you jump. The
water in the cenote is very refreshing. It is an ideal escape from the heat.
If you don't know how to swim, don't worry, the caretakers of the cenote can
lend you a life jacket.
In the interior of the
cenote you will find stalactites. There is one small tunnel filled with them
which will take you to an area where you can jump in. The water is green and
transparent. There are ropes to hold on to and rest.
After refreshing
yourself you begin the second part of the trip to arrive at the "green star"
cenote which is approximately 120 feet in diameter and is wide open. The
water is green, cool and transparent with small fish. To enter the cenote
you may use the steps, or to add to the fun we recommend you use the “Mayan
Zip Line” which is 6 feet high giving you the opportunity to do flips in the
air just before a loud splash.
After your fun and
enjoyment, return the four wheeler to the rental area. In all of your
adventures we recommend you take a waterproof camera.
