Visit the most important archeological zone in Yucatán, ancient capital
of the Mayan Empire due to its extraordinary architecture beauty and its
geographical location, founded in the year 514 where you can admire the
majestic Observatory, the Sacred Cenote where sacrifices took place, the
Ball Court, the largest Ball Game in Mesoamerica; It is 168 meters in
length and 70 meters in width with a perfect acustic or climb the Castle;
Pyramid of Kukulcan, where both theology and astronomy combine to produce
a unique spectacle twice a year, the Spring Equinox and the Autumn Solstice,
days when the shadows projected over the architectonic elements of the
building resemble a serpent descending to the ground. Inside the pyramid
are located the famous Chac Mool sculpture and the Jaguar Throne and if
you climb it you will overlook the entire Chichen Itza city.-
ITINERARY: Our excursion begins picking up all the passengers from 9:00
am to 9:45 at the lobby of all mayor hotels to do the check in at our
terminal and depart at 10:15 am in a deluxe motor coach with AC, WC and
VCR. In our way we will do a Panoramic Visit to Vlladolid; and ancient
colonial city and a quick stop of 15 minutes for services in a Mayan Village.
We arrive Mayaland Hotel around 14:00 to take a delicious buffet lunch
with typical Yucatan dishes as well as poultry, hamburgers and salad bar
while watching regional people dancing folkloric music. Now we are ready
to get into the archeological site by the private gate of Mayaland. Once
inside we divide groups into English and Spanish speaking and take an
1 hour and a half guided tour with a certified guide that will talk to
us about the history and secrets of the Mayans and will point out the
most important places and then enjoy free time to walk around, climb El
Castillo or take some pictures as well as use all the Mayaland facilities
as swimming pool, lounge chairs, sun beds, towels and 2 x 1 in the evenings
at the bar. Then we will get together again to see the Light and Sound
show that begins at 8:00 pm in spring and summer and 7:00 pm in autumn
& winter where you can listen and admire a projected light shadow
over the architectonic elements of the building that resemble a serpent
descending to the ground, Mayan warriors playing the ball game and the
sound of death and life. This is an exciting show full of history, light
effects and awesome ancestry.
