I was very apprehensive after reading several negative reviews of this hotel. We were greated with fresh herbal iced tea and checked in by a very nice and helpful representative, Dora. Brought to our beach-front room - which was lovely - a couple of minor problems that were corrected immediately. The food was great - and I'm a fussy eater and will not eat food unless it is healthy, fresh and well-prepared. No, it was not especially gourmet, but everything was well-prepared. The grouper fish was outstanding, and there were many choices and variety. The beach is the most beautiful of any we saw - clean and swimable and heavenly. Laura at the PR desk is lovely and very helpful. Most went out of their way to please. To those who wrote negative reviews, well, for the price of this resort, they got a bargain. Some people look for the negative, but if you go here with a positive outlook, you will love it. The people were hard-working and very nice. Also, please leave 20-40 pesos on the table for your meals and in your room each day for the maids. It's so little and so much appreciated, and we, as vacationers, should not be burdened by coming up with an extra $25 (us) in tips for a week. The liquor is not premium, so if you are a big drinker and only enjoy premium brands, perhaps this is not the place for you; the red wine and piniacoladas were great. Also, it's not so big as you get lost or need to walk forever to get to the restaurants and pools. It's rather intimate which we liked. I just don't understand what some people expect from a resort that was affordable and we can find no complaints about.
