 The
national park "Isla Contoy", it's located in municipality of Isla Mujeres,
state of Quintana Roo and it's in fact the limit between the gulf of mexico
and the Caribbean Sea.
Itīs
decreed in 1961 during the administration of the lic. Adolfo lopez mateos,
Isla Contoy like area of natural park and refuge of the national fauna.
Later on, in 1986 for federal ordinance, was declare natural area for the
protectio of the species of marine turtles; also, for its geographical
position, "Contoy" is theideal refuge for a great number of birds and marine
turtles in risk of extinction. |

Leave from Hacienda
marina at Puerto Juarez, then continental breakfast is served (coffee, orange jucie,
bread and fruits).

Snorkel 9:00 am:

We arrive to the
island reef to make an approximate
45 minute tour; the bar opens up with; beer, rum tequila, margaritas,
vodka and sodas.

Contoy 10:00 am:
|
We arrive to Contoy
Island to develop the optional activities which are: walking by the
dunes, visit to the central aviary, to rest in the mantarays beach and
finaly visit to the pajareras de puerto viejo (that last one "optional"
with an additional contribution to the park of $100.00 pesos for
person).

Return 12:50 pm:
|
We return toward
isla mujeres to eat lunch and we continue with the open bar.

Lunch 13:30 pm:
|
When arriving at
Isla Mujeres, we go on to the restaurant, where we will serve the
buffet lunch.

Shopping 14:00
pm
|
After lunch, you
will have enough time to go shopping.
|
|

Return to Cancun.
