Thousands of College Students Will Travel to Acapulco
For Weeklong Fun in the Sun
Acapulco, Mexico (March 11, 2010) – For years, Acapulco has been synonymous with
golden beaches, timeless glamour and legendary nightlife. This tradition
continues to shine as MTV and StudentCity.com have selected Acapulco, one of
Mexico’s premiere beach destinations, as the location for the infamous MTV
Spring Break 2010, taking place from March 14 – 18, 2010. Coverage of the
weeklong festivities will begin on March 20th on MTV, MTV2, mtvU and MTV.com at

This month, thousands of college students throughout the United States will
travel to Acapulco to take part in an exciting roster of weeklong events. The
fun will consist of events during the week including electrifying live musical
performances from some of music’s top-selling recording artists such as Young
Money including Drake and Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Pitbull, Trey Songz and B.o.B.
The MTV Village, which will be located at Playa Suites Acapulco, will also be
the site of the “Spring Break Challenge” – hosted by TJ Lavin with special
guests LMFAO. Student competitors will face off in a variety of obstacles in
hopes of winning cash and prizes. The competitive spirit will continue with the
2010 Spring Break USA Rock Paper Scissors League ChAMPionships, where college
students will go head-to-head to compete for a $25,000 scholarship prize.
