We stayed here(in city) for the first 5 nights of our 3 week holiday.We wanted to see the markets and experience the famous restaurants.This is a very good location within walking distance of most of what Cancun has to offer.The Margaritas is what it is,2.5-3 stars.We stayed the first night inside facing the small clean pool yard.We asked to be moved out front, even though we read reviews of it being noisy.They gave us a 3rd floor balcony room right out front and above the restaurant.We enjoyed the night life from our balcony.busy,busy.Bed time with the balcony doors closed was quiet enough for a good nights rest.The staff went out of their way to accommodate us...very friendly and helpful,thank-you.They have a free shuttle to and from a public stretch of beach in the Hotel Zone. The price for the room was very reasonable as was everything else in down town Cancun,compared to the Hotel Zone(double or triple prices for everything). The last 2 weeks of our Cancun stay was in the hotel zone.We actually came back to the city for restaurants and shopping from the Hotel Zone.We would stay here again
