if you aren't doing the all inclusive resort thing, then this hotel is perfect for your trip. we were out everyday doing various tours and beaching, and only came back in the evening to sleep. it was quiet during the 3 nights we were there... it's about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop... the continental breakfast was great, we loved it... the only thing is that the a/c was a bit like a humidifier so our room felt a little moist everytime we returned... our clothes that were wet from the day before wouldn't dry... but i wonder if that's because overall the weather in cancun is humid. the staff is super super friendly and speak english. we didn't get bothered by any time-share presentations or anything, (i read a review that someone got bothered with them). i didn't even know they had those people there... we just booked our tours on the zona hotelera strip to go to chichen itza and to cozumel. make sure when you bargain for your tours that you bargain with the currency you will be paying with. we bargained in dollars but we ended up paying with pesos... and when the sales guy converted the dollar to the peso, he used a high exchange rate and thus we didn't end up getting a bargain on our tour. :P other than that, had a GREAT trip! would recommend this hotel for those who are just looking for a budget hotel and just to sleep. oh and there is a pool if you'd like to go for a swim. Oh, and the internet we thought was free because it said free internet but we ended up getting charged 25 pesos after we used the internet. so, make sure to ask before you use it. the computers were down the first night we were there
