This hotel was great for the price. We were initially staying at the Imperial Las Perlas but it was so bad we wanted to switch after 1 night. This was the perfect choice. The beach was beautiful, to die for. The 2 pools were spacious and lovely. Our room was clean and the view was incredible. The food was ok, acceptable. The staff was great, very friendly and always taking us the best clubs in cancun at night and giving us open bar specials and deals. Overall a great experience.

While not a 4 star resort, we highly recommend this hotel! Very clean super nice staff, food was good, rooms are nice (and cold!) and beach is awesome!!! They have a sandy beachfront! Sand is like powder awesome! Ocean is beauteeeeful as the pictures we are posting show! Waves were always bountiful!! Be sure and go to their restaurant on the beach! And have a burger at the pool! We really don’t have any complaints about The Flamingo! Was not real crowded when we were there 8/11/2009-8/14/2009. AND, we’ve been home over a week.no swine flu!!! And we weren’t in the middle of a Mexican stand off or drug war! Stay at the tourist places and you are very safe!!! We did take a city bus to town, shopped all was great!! Oh.and the stolen sand ordeal..what a joke! So a resort pumped some sand BACK out of the ocean big deal!! It used to be on their beach!! And WHY are all the HUGE signs that the federales posted on the beach in spanish only??!! Heck we translate everything here for them!! Surely they know most of their guests are not Spanish speaking folks???!
