Sept 5. The occupancy was around 40%. Service was great, however not excellent. Could have been a little better at the pool, considering the low occupancy versus the number of employees (this in no way would keep me from going back to this resort). On the 2nd level of the lobby they have two bars - sports bar & lounge bar. Both of which are excellent with higher/premium liquor. The sports bar had around 15-18 LCD's playing sports, sportscenter, etc. The best part of this hotel is the skybar. Two pools both with swim up bars (only one bar was open), two hot tubs/jacuzzi, the fitness center (its nice to run 3 miles on a treadmill while looking out glass windows 14 stories above cancun), and several queen size lounge beds. It is so relaxing laying down looking out 14 stories accross the ocean or lagoon. We ate at three of the four resturants...we did have dessert at the Italian. The food was better than our previous trips..I would rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars. No issues at all. We did order room service several times (even at 3am after being out at Coco Bongo), quick & good. Beach - there was a nice sized beach while we were there. Plenty off room. Actually, one night they released new baby turtles into the ocean. Everyone was able to hold one and let it go...as they crawled towards the ocean waiting for a wave to take them away. We visited Sun (stayed there before) & Cancun Palace, both of which were not busy at all. We would / will return next year to one of the Palace resorts. All three are an excellent choice
